Who Can Benefit from Play Therapy?

Play therapy is for children (both boys and girls) ages 3 – 14 that are under stress or exhibiting behavior problems due to:

  • Parental Separation and/or Divorce
  • Peer or Socialization Difficulties (including bullying)
  • Anxieties or Excessive Worrying
  • Death in the Family or Loss of Loved One
  • Developmental Delays
  • Abuse / Neglect or other Trauma
  • Unresolved Aggression

Play therapy can develop a more positive self-esteem and promote wellness for children with:

  • ADD/ADHD
  • Asperger’s Syndrome/Autism
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Depression
  • Obsesive Compulsive Disorder
  • Chronic/Terminal Illnesses (such as diabetes, cancer, cystic fibrosis, asthma)
  • Sensory Integration Disorder
